Mama Chopra’s Bucket List Trip

My family recently took a whirlwind trip to London, Paris, Florence and Rome. There were 10 of us total, all coming together to give a special gift to my mom in particular.

My brother and I wanted to do this for our mom because she had never been to Europe, and never really travelled. This was a bucket list trip for her after her battle with cancer — she had always dreamed of seeing Paris. Our mom has given us everything, and this was our way of giving back to her.

Because we needed to travel Europe comfortably with my mom’s wheelchair, we used a travel agent to help us coordinate. I wanted to make it as easy and seamless as possible getting from one city and accommodation to the next. The kids were great as we travelled, all wanting to be next to push Nani’s chair.

It was an express trip of every city and we had an amazing time. We all live in different corners of the U.S., so it was great to come together, and my parents loved being with all the grandkids. It was definitely the trip of my mom’s lifetime!
