Since a very young age, I have been interested in dentistry. As the daughter of Kuwaiti immigrants, I spent a lot of time at my uncle’s dental practice when I was growing. I admired the confidence and passion he showed for his work. My parents and I moved from Maryland to California when I was 12 years old. I knew then that I wanted to pursue my own dental career.

My formal dental training began at the College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland in Baltimore. The technology-driven program curriculum instilled in me a strong belief in the importance to invest in cutting-edge innovations in dentistry. This is more than just fancy technology. It’s vital for saving teeth. After graduating with the top 10% in my class, I served our nation’s veterans at a VA General Practice Residency in Pittsburgh, PA. The experience was both humbling and incredible. It made me realize the importance of saving patients’ teeth and inspired me to pursue a career in Endodontics. The University of Pittsburgh’s Endodontic Residency program was a wonderful place to learn advanced endodontic treatments. After a rigorous oral examination and demonstration of clinical skills through case studies in 2021, I achieved my Board Certification. I am very proud of this achievement.

Logan was my husband when I attended dental school. He had a dream of moving to the Carolinas because of childhood memories. We moved to Charlotte in 2018, and I got to work at Ballantyne Endodontics, my dream job! Ballantyne is a unique dental practice with passionate professionals. We are committed to investing in the latest technology for you, our patient.

My treatment is now comprehensive and focuses on your specific needs. I am interested in all aspects of endodontics, but my special interest and expertise is surgical treatments such as apicoectomies involving bone grafts or intentional replantation. I am proud to restore hope and relief to patients who have no other options for saving their teeth. The beauty of endodontics lies in the balance of art and engineering. I strive to emphasize both aspects of my treatment.

When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my family, friends, and husband. My favorite places to visit include Hiroshima in Japan and Petra in Jordan.
