Endodontist Sonia Chopra, D.D.S., offers a unique mix of passion, expertise, and professionalism to her Charlotte, North Carolina area patients.

She describes herself as “the ultimate dental patient,” she was born without eight teeth and experienced a wide range of dental treatments in her early life. Her life turned around when a compassionate and skilled endodontist treated her, saved her infected tooth, and freed her of pain.

This experience led her to pursue her career as an endodontist. Her patients are often struck with Dr. Chopra’s compassion and empathy — this empathy comes from her first-hand experience of what many of them have experienced.

Her approach to endodontic diagnosis and retreatment involves a mix of compassion, extensive knowledge of oral health, and today’s leading technology. She shares a common passion with Dr. Tadrissi and Dr. Reiter for helping Charlotte residents save their natural teeth. Their patient-centered approach means they treat each patient as an individual, and they strive to ensure comfort and wellness.

Focus and Specialization

Dr. Chopra sees herself as more than an endodontic diagnosis and retreatment specialist. She also acts as a trusted dental health counselor and advisor for her patients. She strives to give each patient the time and attention they need.

Since she started in general dentistry, she developed a holistic understanding and approach to oral health and dental care. If you feel uneasy about a recommended procedure, you are in good hands with Dr. Chopra. Due to her own early experiences as a dental patient, she experienced many of her patients’ treatments. She is a living dental success story who dedicated her life to creating more dental successes.

Favorite Things To Do When Not at Work

Dr. Chopra is busy running a successful endodontic care practice and teaching future dentists. When not at work, she enjoys giving back to the community, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Favorite Charlotte Community Memory

Dr. Chopra has one Charlotte community memory that stands out among the rest: A Night For Smiles.

For those of you who don’t know, Dr. Chopra formed her non-profit, A Night For Smiles, to help provide better access to dental care for those living in the Charlotte community. The non-profit holds a gala that gathers over 350 members of the dental community for a night of fun and giving back. There is no other event for dentists like it, and Dr. Chopra is extremely proud of what the dental community can do when they come together.

The first year, the gala raised $75,000. Just one year later, at the second gala, the community raised $140,000. This shows the true power of the dental community and what can be accomplished if we all work together!
